Thelik the (Future) Famous Author

Thelik is a blue dragon through and through. He's smart, well-read, and takes himself a little too seriously. He gets very grumpy when one of the other dragons interrupts him when he's reading, writing his memoirs, or contemplating some deep question about life. He always seems to be frowning, but he says that's just because he does a lot of concentrating.

Reading is a very demanding activity for someone like Thelik. Because books aren't made with tiny dragons in mind, it's quite a task for Thelik to carefully lift and turn the pages. He complains about this sometimes, saying that whoever is in the business of printing books really should be more courteous and keep all their readers in mind. I tried to explain that most people don't even know about house dragons, but he didn't believe me.

He's good at giving advice, although none of the other house dragons pay much attention to him. For example, there was the time Boris got ink all over himself when he tried to write with a leaky pen. I think he was trying to make a "kick me" sign for Thelik. Boris doesn't usually bother with anything like this unless he's about to play a practical joke on someone, and Thelik is a favorite victim. After Boris unsuccessfully tried to wash all the ink off himself, Thelik lectured him on the proper use of very large pens. Boris rolled his eyes and grumbled, but otherwise didn't pay much attention.

Thelik wants to be an author some day, but he's having a hard time getting published. His manuscripts are too tiny for editors to read, and they haven't even taken the time to send rejection letters. As you can imagine, this is very discouraging for an aspiring writer like Thelik, but he's still determined to get his name out there. Perhaps one day he'll find a way to achieve his dream.
