Buying Polymer Clay Online

Polymer clay is easy to find, or at least certain brands are. You can find some form of it in almost any craft and art supply store. And for 2 ounce packages that cost less than $3 or even $2, it's very affordable. Unfortunately, stores don't always carry a wide variety. They may only carry Sculpey III or Fimo, and the people who work there won't know what you're talking about if you ask for Premo or Kato. Even if they carry the brand you like, they may not keep certain colors in stock. For example, I've never seen any of the Premo pearl colors in a craft store.

That's why I recommend buying polymer clay online, especially if you've already tried different kinds and know what works best for you. The prices are often cheaper (though not always), and it's great fun to receive a box full of your favorite clays. Also, you can sometimes order 1 pound bricks if you need a lot of one particular color.

Here are some places where you can order polymer clay:

Dick Blick - They carry Fimo and all kinds of Sculpey brands, but unfortunately not Kato.

Polymer Clay Express - Just about every polymer clay brand, and even some non-polymer clays.

Prairie Craft - Kato Polyclay and other Kato products.

The Polymer Clay Pit - They supply to the UK and Europe.
